Hello Visitor,
Expression of Interest - Assessor
ANZSRS members are invited to submit an expression of interest to participate as assessors in the TSANZ Spirometry Clinical Audit Program, which was developed by TSANZ on behalf of the QLD Department of Natural Resources, Mining and Energy (DNRME). We are now seeking Certified Respiratory Function Scientists (or equivalent as determined by TSANZ) to be inducted into the program and trained in order to carry out clinical audits of spirometry reports from providers across Queensland.
This audit program is being undertaken as a component of the Coal Mine Workers’ Health Scheme (CMWHS) in response to the re-identification of Coal Workers’ Pneumoconiosis (CWP) since 2015.
The assessor role will be remunerated, and the assessor may act on a casual basis or be employed as a consultant. Consultants will need to provide their ABN and insurance information. Remuneration will be dependent on the scale of the audit packages provided by the Department.
The prerequisites for assessor qualification are as follows: • All assessors must be suitably qualified, holding either the ANZSRS CRFS qualification or equivalent as determined by TSANZ AND • All assessors must demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience working in a respiratory function laboratory, with a minimum of 2 years in a TSANZ accredited respiratory function laboratory or equivalent quality assurance and/or spirometry teaching experience
Once your EOI is received, further information will be provided regarding how the program will operate as it is still in the final stages of development. In your submission form, please upload your CV and a covering letter addressing the above criteria.
Please see the attached document for further information.
