We are very fortunate to have Dr. Tamara Blake presenting a review of the paper "Addressing race in pulmonary function testing by aligning intent and evidence with practice and perception", recently published in Chest. The paper and Tamara's work to date are engaging, thought provoking and highly relevant to our audience. Tamara is a Postdoctural research fellow at the Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service, her PhD was the first to demonstrate the most appropriate GLI reference values for spirometry testing amongst Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander children and young adults. A copy of the paper is attached within this email for members interested in pre-reading. I have no doubt Tamara will bring her engaging and insightful presentation style to our meeting.
